To investigate the effect of basalt fiber on the high performance concrete
in particular during the deformation and cracking process and how basalt fiber content affects the concrete stress distribution
a numerical simulation was performed using the finite element analysis software ANSYS.A model of concrete with randomly distributed basalt fibers was established on the mesoscopic level to simulate the compression test of composite materials.The result of analysis showed that the fiber started to share the stress on the substrate in the nonlinear stage
and the influence of fiber volume fraction on the stress-strain relationship became obvious.When the concrete cracked
the effect of fiber to resist the cracks was evident.Moreover
