1. Copyright  All authors must sign the Copyright Transfer Agreement once the manuscript is accepted. The authors agree to transfer the copyright of the article to the Editorial Office of Journal of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Engineering, including but not limited to the right of adaptation, compilation (part or all), distribution, reproduction, translation, and internet distribution. The transfer is worldwide and subject to The Copyright Law of the People's Republic of China.

 

2. Retrieve and Download The full text of all published articles could be retrieved and downloaded from the official website of the journal. In addition, the articles have also been indexed by the databases mentioned in “About Journal”. From the 5th issue of 2017, all journal articles are digitally archived and can be searched and downloaded from the journal website. In order to ensure data security, all information has also been backed up in the editorial office. Before 2017, the printed copy of each issue of the journal had been kept in the editorial office for archiving. If the journal and the website were closed, archiving data could be retrieved through third-party full-text databases such as CNKI, and Wanfang Data.

 

3. OA Policy  Journal of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Engineering changed to Open-Access journal in the 5th issue of 2017. All articles ever since, once published, will be immediately and permanently available for readers to read and download free of charge. Articles from the year this journal was founded (1981) to the 4th issue of 2017 are not open-access. Permitted third-party reuse of the articles published by the journal is defined by the following user license: Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This license allows reusers to copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format. The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as the license terms below are followed: Reusers must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. Reusers may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses the use. Reusers may not use the material for commercial purposes. If reusers remix, transform, or build upon the material, they may not distribute the modified material. Authors have the right to share and use their articles under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 protocol.

 

4. Discussion of Published Articles  We welcome authors and readers to make a discussion on the journal’s published articles. Comments can be sent to the journal’s email. The editorial office will deal with it as soon as possible and give feedback as appropriate. We welcome readers and authors to actively provide their comments on the articles to the journal, which can help us to create a positive academic atmosphere.

 

5. Data Sharing  The authors are encouraged to publish or share their research data whenever appropriate. Data sharing is helpful for experiment repetition and data reuse. The data for sharing may include original data, observation records, experimental results, etc. The journal also encourages sharing software, code, models, algorithms, protocols, methods, and other useful materials. The authors can upload the materials above to an accessible third-party repository and make a proper citation or add a link at the end of the article.
