Research on Calculation Methods of Bearing Capacity of RC Eccentrically Compressed Column Strengthened by Reinforced Concrete Jacketing
In order to investigate the practical calculation method of bearing capacity of eccentrically compressed RC column strengthened with jackets
using the experimental data of 29 groups of strengthened columns
the bearing capacity computation methods of the GB 50367-2013"Code for Design of Strengthening Concrete Structure"and GB 50367-2006 "Code for Design of Strengthening Concrete Structure"were studied.Comparing calculated value and measured value of the bearing capacity of the specimens
the results show that the calculation results of bearing capacity of the two codes are close
but the overall accuracy of the calculation results is not good enough
which are biased towards insecurity.Especially for large eccentric compression columns
the bearing capacity calculation results are obvious unsafe.According to the mechanical failure characteristics of reinforced columns
three damage limit states were defined.Based on the analysis of the section strain distribution under the three limit states
the calculation formula of bearing capacity of the strengthened column was established.The results of verification show that the calculated results of the formula are in good agreement with the test results
