Research on Component Joint Models of Semi-rigid Joint Model with Top and Seat Angles and Double Web Angles Under Progressive Collapse
The resistance to progressive collapse of steel structures generally depends on their ability to resist local damage.However
this ability depends on many factors that have not yet be identified in a methodical and reliable manner.The joints with top and seat angles and double web angles are discretized into a number of basic components that contribute to the stress using the component method
then their stress characteristics are simulated by the components integration.Based on it
the numerical simulation model for progressive collapse of substructures with this semi-rigid joint was built.Compared with the test results
the results show that the component joint models can accurately reflect the post-fracture path and internal force development of the joint with a cost-effective solution
which indicates that the component method has great theoretical significance and applicable value for the study on progressive collapse
and can be used as an effective tool in this field.
