Experimental study on Fire Resistance of Prestressed Concrete Beams with CFRP Tendon
The fire resistance of three prestressed concrete beams with CFRP tendon was carried out.The effect of load ratio on the fire resistance of the test beams was considered.The variation of the temperature field
mid-span deflection and CFRP stress with time was analyzed.The test results show that:(1)When the thickness of the protective layer is 90 mm
the temperature of the CFRP tendon will no more than 200 ℃
which can effectively reduce the temperature of the CFRP tendon exposed to fire;(2)The deflection of the test beam increases rapidly in the initial stage of the fire
and then the growth rate tends to be slow;(3)The fire resistance of the test beam decreases with the increase of the load ratio;(4)Compared with the traditional prestressed steel bar
the prestressed CFRP tendons are more susceptible to temperature.Finally
the test beam was broken due to the fracture of the CFRP tendon.Therefore
effective fire prevention measures should be taken for prestressed reinforced concrete members with CFRP tendons.
