Influence of Water Cement Ratio on Mass Loss and Compressive Strength Degradation of Concrete at Elevated Temperature
In order to investigate the influence of water-cement ratio on compressive strength and mass loss of concrete under different elevated temperature levels
a total of 100 standard concrete cube specimens with different water-cement ratios were tested at and after elevated temperatures. The experimental results show that the compressive strength and mass loss of concrete tend to decrease with the increase of water-cement ratio after the specimen exposed to high temperatures.By regression analysis on test data
the relationship between compressive strength as well as mass loss of concrete and exposure temperatures was proposed
which can be used to assess the residual compressive of concrete suffering mass loss or high temperature.
