Study on the Influence of Reinforcement Form on the Deformation of Reinforced Retaining Wall
The layout of reinforcement is an important problem in the design of reinforced earth retaining wall.In this paper
the influence of reinforcement form on the deformation performance of reinforced earth retaining wall is studied through the sand box model experiment on reinforced earth retaining wall with different forms of reinforcement. The analysis of the experimental results shows that
under the condition of equal reinforcement area
the deformation of the mesh stiffened panel is more uniform
and the strip-type cloth-stiffened panel is easy to have large local deformation in the middle and lower parts. For strip reinforcement
shortening the single geobelt’s length
or increasing the density of geobelts with the same length
or the having upper geobelts is longer than the lower ones with the same layout density
can improve the stability of the wall. For grid reinforcement
the stronger the strength of reinforcement node is
the better the wall resistance to deformation. In addition
the experiment also illustrates that deformation of the panel can be constrained by adding a vertical auxiliary geobelt at the end of the main geobelt. The research content of this paper can provide reference for the economic rationalization design of the reinforcement form in the actual project.
