Deformation Behavior of Deep Excavations of Nanjing Subway Station in Different Engineering Geological Conditions
A database of many case histories of urban rail transit foundation pits in Nanjing is analyzed
and the deformation behavior due to deep excavation in different engineering geological conditions is presented and discussed. The results show:(1) the maximum lateral wall deflectionδ

of metro station excavation in Nanjing is in the range of(0. 09%-0. 24%) He
with the mean value being 0. 13%He in the Yangtze River flood plain
0. 18% He in the Qinhuai paleo-channel
and 0. 16 % He in the terrace;(2) the location of maximum lateral deflection Hm ranges from H

5;(3) the wall penetration ratio of metro station excavation in Nanjing ranges from 0.2 to 1.0
