Using ANSYS to establish finite element calculation model
then the parameters affecting the ultimate bearing capacity of RC axial compression column strengthened with jacket were researched.Firstly experimental data of 4strengthened columns were used to analyze and verify the finite element model.The results show that for the ultimate bearing capacities of the strengthened columns
results of the finite element and the experiments coincide to each other well.Then combined with engineering practice we choose one of the test columns as the basic column
by changing the parameter values
the ultimate bearing capacities of 43 columns were obtained
thus six kinds of controllable design parameters including the core column initial stress level
reinforcement ratio of jacket
longitudinal reinforcement strength of jacket
stirrup ratio of jacket
jacket thickness and concrete strength of jacket are researched.The results reveal the effect of each parameter on the ultimate bearing capacity of reinforced column
the influence degree of the after five parameters were analyzed too.Based on the calculating and analytical results
some recommendations for strengthening design were presented.
