Analysis of Retaining Structure and Surrounding Soils of Deep Excavation Supported by Single Concrete Bracing
The horizontal displacements of retaining piles are monitored through the excavation of a deep pit supported by concrete bracing and piles
and it is found that the deformation mode of retaining piles is interior convex
and the displacements of piles are different due to the difference of horizontal bracing stiffness. The practical project is simulated by FEM
and the results show that the mode of ground settlement is groove under interior convex mode. The maximum settlement is at 0.6times of excavation depth
and the displacement fields of soils outside the excavation can be divided into three zones:concave settlement region
transition region and heave region. The main range of influence on soil settlement is within the excavation depth. The analysis shows that the horizontal deformation of deep soil outside excavation transforms from interior convex mode to cantilever mode with the increase of distance.
