The wind field and the dynamic responses of a typical transmission tower line system under the typhoon"Seagull"were measured by the anemometer
strain gauges and the accelerometers in September
2014.Based on the measurement data
the characteristics of the random spatial wind field of the typhoon was analyzed
including the mean wind profiles
the wind direction
turbulent density
turbulent scale
power spectrum density of fluctuation
as well as the gust response factor of the dynamic strain responds on column of the tower.Then
the wind resistance reliability of the tower was estimated.The data and the analysis can be the references for the wind resistant design of the transmission tower lines system.
