the lateral displacement of piles under the pit caused by partial dismantling struts and adjacent zoned-excavation was analyzed.Firstly the retainingstructure analysis software FRWS7.4 was adopted to analyze the stress in the process of dismantling struts.According to the principle of force balance
the lateral force of the bottom slab would act on the piles.The finite element analysis software ABAQUS was also adopted to analyze the lateral deformation and internal force of the piles under the pit using a 2D plane strain model.Then the additional lateral displacement of the piles caused by adjacent excavation was calculated The results of additional lateral displacement caused by the partial dismantling struts and adjacent excavation would be superposed.The results show that piles of sufficient safety reserves under the partial dismantling struts
the additional horizontal displacement caused bythe adjacent excavation is obvious
