a measurement is carried out for the construction of ship lock structure by using Fiber Bragg Grating(FBG).The rebar strain changes of lock head structure of the ship lock during construction are also measured by FBG.Combining with the monitoring data
the stress/strain status changes in the interior of the lock head floor are comprehensively analyzed under the double actions of concrete hydration heat release and upper loading.The feasibility is validated for health monitoring on large hydraulic structure such as ship lock by using the optical fiber sensing technology.The research results are of great significance for design
construction and maintenance of the large hydraulic structure
and show the wide applications of the optical fiber sensing technologies in infrastructural engineering health monitoring.
