To study fire resistance of prestressed tensile steel members
theoretical analysis of prestressed tensile steel members at high temperature were carried out on the basis of the principles of heat transfer
and the incremental formulas of cable temperatures were obtained. The results show that the temperature of the cable decreases with the temperature of the steel pipe and increases with equivalent diameter.Simplified method for calculating the critical temperature of prestressed tensile steel member was verified by experimental study and the finite element method was deduced. The calculations show that the critical temperature decreases with the load ratio and increases with the restraint stiffness ratio.
