Experimental Study on Physical and Mechanical Properties of Central Line Tailing Sands
In order to study the physical and mechanical properties of two kinds of tailing sands produced by hydrocyclone classifier under central line damming method
the physical and mechanical properties of two kinds of sample in Dexing copper mine tailing dam were tested and analyzed through a series of indoor soil tests.The comprehensive physical and mechanical properties indexes and Duncan-Chang model parameters were obtained.The results show that
the underflow tailing sands have better permeability
lower compressibility
higher shear strength and greater static stability compared to the overflow tailing sands.The results not only can provide the basic data for subsequent dynamic analysis and numerical calculation
but also can provide reference for the study of engineering mechanics properties of the same kind of tailing sands.
