In order to investigate the effects of anti-collision guardrails on wind-induced disasters of bridges
aerodynamics of bridges and vehicles
and running quality of vehicles
a long-span rain traffic bridge was regarded as the engineering example.Based on the method of computational fluid dynamics(CFD)
the vortex-induced vibration of girder
the wind-field above bridge deck and the aerodynamic coefficients of bridge and vehicles were researched.Using a self-developed software
BANSYS
the effects of anti-collision guardrails on characteristics of bridge-vehiclewind coupling vibration system was analyzed.Results show that anti-collision guardrails can obviously change the aerodynamic coefficients of bridge and vehicles
reduce the equivalent wind speed above the deck and increase the displacement response of bridge at midspan.However
anti-collision guardrails has little effect on vortex-induced vibration performance of the girder and the response of vehicles.
