Experimental Study on Membrane Effect of Steel Deck Concrete Composite Slabs under Fire
Steel deck-concrete composite slab is composed of concrete and steel deck
with its advantages
such as convenient construction
force reasonableness
and full use of material properties etc.In order to study the bearing mechanism and failure mode of steel deck concrete composite slabs under fire
the experimental study on two steel deck concrete composite slabs under fire is made
through adopting the IOS-834 standard heating up curve
to investigate the crack development and distribution of composite slabs at the top and bottom of the board.The failure mode of composite slabs under fire is revealed.The curve of deflection-time and the curve of temperature-time at different locations within the composite slabs are given in this paper.The tensioned membrane effect force is proved to be the final bearing force of the slab system under fire through contrastive analysis of test result.
