Simulation and Analysis on Seismic Performance of RCS Frame Using OpenSees
Based on the low-cycle load test data of a Reinforced Concrete colum and Steel beam( RCS)frame
finite element numerical simulation was conducted by using the open-source earthquake engineering simulation system OpenSees. Accuracy of the numerical analysis was verified by comparing the hysteretic curves with skeleton curves. Then
nine RCS frames were designed by changing the bending moment magnification coefficient beam to column( Mc/Mb= 0. 86、1. 29、1. 48、2. 04) and the axial compression ratio( n = 0. 06、0. 2、0. 3、0. 6、0. 8). The load- displacement hysteretic loops
skeleton curves and the load and displacement values for different loading stages were obtained. The failure characteristics
ductility and load carrying capacity degeneration were studied. It is concluded that the load-displacement hysteretic loops are stable
and the deformation properties and energy dissipation capacity are adequate.With the decrease of the bending moment magnification coefficient and the increase axial load level of columns
the horizontal limit bearing capacity of the frame reduces and also is the displacement ductility.Conclusions obtained in this paper provide a reference for structural researchers and designers.
