According to the rules of stress release and stress adjustment of structure under lowfrequency cyclic earthquake action
this paper introduces dynamic contact element and adopts ground motion time histroy of El Centro to study contact nonlinear problem about dynamic contact analysis method for towering structure
comparatively analyzes the difference between etastic contact and dynamic contact methods
discusses dynamic behavior and response influence rule of intake tower interaction system.This method was used for Zipingpu 1#intake tower under action of "5.12" Wenchuan earthquake loads.Results show that considering the dynamic contact is more consistent with the actual condition of intake tower under earthquake loads
the displacement
velocity and acceleration depend more on the character of the foundation
and have little effect from the change of superstructure stiffness
the overall stability of tower can be guaranteed which accords with field check results after earthquake.Therefore
using dynamic contact method to research intake tower-rock mass combined dynamic interaction is very necessary.
