A calculating software was programed and verified based on GFPM(Glass Failure Predict Model)and equivalent load for investigating the bearing capacity of glass panel.The influences of the thickness
area and aspect ratio on bearing capacity of glass plate were analyzed.The results show that:(1)the probability of glass failure got smaller as the thickness of glass bigger;(2)the bearing capacity was less when the area got lager;(3)the failure load of glass plate with larger area is significantly less than that with small area under the same probability of failure;(4) the bearing capacity was stronger as aspect ratio of glass bigger when the load value was low;the bearing capacity was weaker as aspect ratio of glass bigger when the load value was high.
