Experimental Study on Static and Dynamic Properties of Saturated Loess
Static and dynamic experiments on remolded samples were performed to study the static and dynamic properties of saturated loess.According to the results of monotonic triaxial test
the static strength variation of saturated loess was analyzed
the hyperbolic curve model was established
and the Duncan-Chang model parameters for engineering application in this area were obtained.Based on the result of dynamic triaxial experiment
the dynamic strength variation of saturated loess under isotropic and anisotropic consolidation was provided.The dynamic strength were normalized based on analysis of experimental data of saturated loess
and then an empirical formula was built to illustrate the relationship of static and dynamic strength of saturated loess. Using this empirical formula
dynamic strength of saturated loess can be easily derived from its static strength
and thus the experimental work for ground dynamic stability analysis can be largely saved.
