Study on Hysteretic Behavior of Prestressed Concrete Bridge Pier with Fiber Model
The effects of the prestressed tendon reinforcement ratio
the ordinary longitudinal reinforcement ratio and the stirrup reinforcement ratio on the hysteretic behavior and seismic characteristics of the prestressed concrete bridge pier have been obtained with the fiber model analysis method.The analysis results show that for the prestressed concrete bridge pier: the greater the prestressed tendons reinforcement ratio and the ordinary longitudinal reinforcement are
the more obvious the pier′s hysteresis loop ″pinching effect″ is
the smaller the residual displacement is
the lower the energy dissipation capacity is;and the greater the stirrup reinforcement ratio is
the larger the hysteresis loop area is
the better the ductility of bridge piers is
the greater the shear capacity is.The research results will provide a theoretical basis for the hysteretic behavior analysis of the prestressed concrete pier.
