Discussion on the Current Situation and Application of Water-borne Fireproof Coating

the fire resistance of steel is poor.With high temperatures in fire

in order to maintain the stability of steel in fire
corresponding measures need to be taken to prevent temperature rising over the critical temperature.Fireproofing paint has good economic and practical performance including light-weighted
long fire duration
convenient for application
and without the constraint of the geometry of steel.With the increasing environmental awareness
more and more domestic and foreign builders advocate green building concept and participate in Three Star′s rating system or LEED certification.The water-borne intumescent fireproofing coat
which is eco-friendly
safe and effective in fire
began to get the favour of owners and designers.In this paper
from aspects of fire protection principles
technical characteristics
certification
application
and quality supervision
the performance and development of water-borne intumescent fireproof coating were discussed.The current problems of fireproof coating were also pointed out for attention.
