FDS Simulation of Temperature Elevation of Steel Members Exposed to Large Space Fire
Adiabatic surface temperature(AST) is adopted to study the temperature heating of steel members exposed to localized fire.A numerical study using FDS is presented.The AST obtained by FDS is compared with the air temperature around the steel members.Results show that the flame radiation of fire has significant effect on the heating of the steel members.Some useful suggestions about adopting radiation heating item in temperature calculation are put forward.
