thickness of concrete cover and span-to-height ratio of RC beam

thickness of concrete cover and reinforcement ratio of RC slab) on the fire-resistance-enhancement-coefficient(FREC) of RC simply-supported beams with slab exposed to ISO834 standard fire are analyzed.Based on the simulation results of 1296 cases
a practical calculation method for the FREC is proposed.Simulation results show that:(a) the thickness of concrete cover of slab affects the FREC significantly
and the FREC increases quickly with the increasing of the thickness of concrete cover;(b) the thickness and longitudinal reinforcement ratio of slab have little effect on the FREC;and(c) the FREC increases with the increasing of the width of slab to a certain extent.
