Study on Detecting Capacity of 3D Electric Monitoring System for Multi-point Leakage in Refuse Landfill
This paper researches the 3D electrical monitoring system’s detecting capabilities for the refuse landfill leakage points’ position and analyzes the main factors which affect the monitoring result through theoretical analysis and test in situ.It is aimed at providing the basis for designing economic
reasonable and effective real-time monitoring system. The results show that: The potential monitoring method under the membrane has clear theoretical basis; The strength of power supply current only affects the measurement potential value’s size
and it can not change the abnormal shape; The power supply should be designed principally to ensure that the measurement potential value has high signal-tonoise ratio; The electrode spacing can affect the detecting capability for two neighboring leakage holes; When electrode spacing is less than the distance between the two neighboring holes
the system can effectively reflect the leakage position;3D electrical monitoring system shows the better result as the power supply electrode A is set in the middle of the landfill and B is set in some points and connecting together under the geomembrane. The bigger the loophole is
the higher the measurement potential values are.The loophole with scratch can not be detected. At the same time
using the electrode system which is under the geomembrane to get the resistivity profile also has better reflecting capability for leakage holes and it can realize the detection of the leachate diffusion process underground.
