which has significant effect on the stability of rock-filling dams
has been studied mainly by triaxial tests and direct shear tests. The indoor test is widely used to study the wetting deformation of dry samples and saturated sample
but few researches focus on unsaturated materials.Based on the test results of coarse aggregate materials under different confining pressures
the wetting deformation was studied by numerical simulations. The results indicate that the influence of the wetting deformation can be obtained by changing the micro shear modulus and friction coefficient.Particle breakage of coarse aggregate is increased with the increase of saturability and confining pressure. The shear strength and cohesion of the coarse aggregate materials decrease after wetting deformation
and the friction angle basically remains unchanged.
