To overcome disadvantages of Hermite-based spectral correction method
and to eliminate large consumption of the simulation due to computing coefficients of Hermite polynomial
a new method for simulating non-Gaussian wind field is proposed.Non-Gaussian cumulative distribution function(CDF) is employed to replace Hermit-based probability density function correction.Selecting arbitrary marginal PDF model as probability target model
and targeting power spectral density as sample function
the sample function is converged to the target probability density function and power spectral density through iteration correction. The method is applied to simulate non-Gaussian wind field of a real-life structure. The results compare well with the target spectrum. The method proposed here has fairly high accuracy and efficiency.
