Research on Seismic Isolation Retrofit of Masonry Structures of Primary and Secondary Schools
The four-story masonry structure of a primary school in Shanxi Province
the seismic fortification intensity of which is 8 and is needed to be strengthened
is regarded as an background project to discuss the computational analysis method
construction technology and corresponding key technology of seismic strengthening of multi-story masonry buildings using isolation technology.The analysis results show that the base isolating method can decrease the seismic force acting on the above building structure effectively
and increase the structure safety in some degree.In high earthquake intensity regions
the isolation method has superiority to general seismic strengthening method of masonry structure.Relevant achievements for strengthening the seismic resistant capacity of masonry structure of primary and secondary schools have important reference value.
