The analytical theory and design method of high-rise isolated structure are currently two key theoretical issues which are extending the isolation technology to high-rise buildings.In this paper
the analysis method of nonlinear seismic response of high-rise isolated structure was described by a case study of Sunshine Plaza in high seismic intensity region-Suqian City
Jiangsu Province.In addition accurate simulation of horizontal mechanical properties of isolation bearing and influence analysis of different input modes and azimuthes on the bearing were conducted.Based on this
the design method of isolation layer was explained and the basic principles and controlling indices of the isolation layer were presented.At last
necessary remarks were pointed out for related structural requirements of high-rise isolated structures.
