Research on Universality of Pore Water Pressure Increment Model for Saturated Nanjing Fine Sand
The pore water pressure(PWP) increase in saturated sand under cyclic loading is one of the key part of the soil dynamics.Based on the PWP increment model developed on the basis of the undrained constant-amplitude cyclic triaxial tests on saturated Nanjing fine sand with given relative density under isotropic consolidation
further undrained constant-amplitude cyclic triaxial tests were carried out on saturated Nanjing fine sand with different relative densities under isotropic or anisotropic consolidation. The PWP increment model suited for given relative density and isotropic consolidation is extended to different relative densities and anisotropic consolidation. The results show that the pore water pressure predicted from the PWP increment model is consistent with that from test measurements better and the model has its universality.
