Susong-Zongyang Fault has a clear satellite image and is a fault with controlling significance for the structure

geomorphy and Mesozoic-Cenozoic basins.This paper analyzes regional seismo-geological structure background of the fault.Based on the fault’s development history and typical profile

the recent active characters of the fault was investigated.According to field geological investigation and statistics about seismic activity along the line of the fault

a quantitative evaluation of the seismic hazard of the fault in the future was conducted.Results show that the Susong-Zongyang Fault is active in the late quaternary period

but the tectonic movement is very weak and potenlial earthquake hazard is evaluated as magnitude M5.5.
