a numerical scheme is proposed for calculating the critical slip field of reinforced slope based on the force equilibrium.The position of critical slip surface of arbitrary shape and the minimum factor of safety are given in several examples and the comparisons of the critical slip surfaces and the factor of safety are made between slopes before and after reinforcement.The influences of factors
such as horizontal width
length and strength of geosynthetics on reinforced soil slope stability are studied.
