Study on Design of New Compound Supporting and Retaining Structure with Reinforced Gabion
Based on the first expressway reinforced gabion retaining wall in China(reinforced earth engineering of Xiangtan to Hengyang express highway section of K124+300~K124+895 in Hunan province)
two new retaining structure types(the reinforced gabion retaining wall and the green reinforced gabion retaining wall)are presented.Utilizing limit equilibrium theory and widely absorbing foreign advanced reinforced earth technology
the checking method for external and internal stability of these compound structures is put forward and corresponding computer programs are developed to research the influences of cohesion c

earthquake force
gravity density and vehicle load on safety factor.Results show that the influence degrees of design parameters on safety factor are different from each other.Meanwhile
it also proves that the design of this reinforced gabion retaining wall is scientific and reasonable.Thus it can be effectively used as guideline for engineering-oriented design.
