Damage features of steel structure and characteristics of steel structure with displacement-dependent dampers were introduced.Based on the research results of other authors and relevant codes
performance of displacement-dependent dampers were divided into without energy-dissipation state
initial energy-dissipation state
normal energy-dissipation state
ultimate energy-dissipation state and failure state.The description and quantization index for the four states were put forward.Also
the synthetic description for the performance levels of steel structure with dampers and its quantization index were performed based on structure system
structure components
nonstructural components and auxiliary equipments
personnel safety and service condition.Finally
the suitable performance levels of steel structure with dampers were suggested.
