The aim of this article is to find out the failure modes and laws of the concrete masonry wall under different blast loadings
and provide reference for the structural design.Firstly
only one concrete block width wall was used to replace the whole wall to simplify the model and the powerful finite element method software LS-DYNA was used to simulate numerically the behaviors of the wall. The result indicates that the concrete masonry wall will be failure at different levels under the different blast loadings and the failures begin from the mid-span of the walls. It can be concluded that with the increase of the blast load
the failure point spread from the midspan to the edge gradually. When the peak pressure comes to 0.36Mpa
the debris will fly out from the wall and the wall will fall under the gravity. The analyses compare reasonably well with experimental results.
