Based on the study of macro-scale zonation for EER

this paper firstly discusses the significance and the diversity of it’s sub-level zonation.Then using county as the basic analyzing unit

10 main combination types of five social-economic factors

including politics and economy center

minority habitat

depressed area

emigrant residence and hazard-deriving source of large-sized industry

are picked out as second-level zonation index.Finally through the bottomto-up merging approach

the paper performs the second-level zonation.The result shows that 19 second-level regions can be divided after the first-level regions obtained

the layout of it’s second-level regions further exposes some more detailed social-economic problems and their spatial distribution pattern

to which attention in EER should be paid.The combination of these two-level divisions demonstrates the elementary contents of EER theory and practice from "macroscopic and general" level and "meso-scopic and specific" level respectively.
