As an new material with its character of high strength and light weight
Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic(CFRP) is widely used in strengthening RC rigid frame bridge with raking legs and other buildings structure. Beam-column joints are the vital part of RC slant-legged rigid frame bridge and they ensure that all the parts of a structure work as a whole
so we should study the working behavior of CFRP strengthening joints. In this paper
five CFRP strengthening joints and a contrast are tested in the experiment. After being reinforced
the load behavior of the joints is highly enhanced. According to the experiment
we find that CFRP separately plays the same roles as transverse and vertical reinforcement in the resisting shearing and bending force process. Combining theory analysis with experimental study
