In the design of light-gauge steel framed structures
one of the key parameters is the shear strength of the composite walls.Since the shear strength of light-gauge steel framed composite walls

which are strongly dependent upon experiments
and satisfactory computational method has not been yet available.The formulas for the analysis of light-gauge steel framed shear walls are presented in this paper by using
with some modification
the method of determining shear strength of wood shear walls.The computation results agree well with the test results.Therefore
the formulas are applicable and can be used to estimate the shear capacity of light-gauge steel framed walls.
