The characteristics of deep-level rockbursts are numerically studied using ANSYS FEM software in this paper
with focuses being placed on the deep-level rockbursts at Wulong coal mine in Fuxin. The ANSYS finite element models are established in accordance with the practical exploitation conditions.Taking the 311 working face of Wulong coal mine as an example
the contours of vertical stresses in the roof and floor are obtained corresponding to the mining distances of 100 m
200 m
300 m and 400 m respectively. It is indicated that the magnitude of vertical stress is the important influencing factor of rockburst. As the 100 m and 400 m working faces are mined
the high stress concentration regions will form in front of working faces and rockbursts are impending. The numerical simulation shows that rockbursts occurring at Wulong mine belongs to the type of compression of coal blocks accompanied by intrusion of igneous rock wall. The numerical simulation using ANSYS can be provide a guidance on deep-level mining.
