This paper adopts the observational electromagnetic emission intensity average(Eavg) data collected from 1409 coalface of Huafeng mine
and calculates the correlation dimension D
2
of the strange attracters of the system during five mining induced seismic events using the time-delay phase space reconstruction algorithm.The analytical results indicate that the Electromagnetic Emission Time Series is a chaotic system.The freedom degree is in the range of 2~26.Correlation dimension D
2
initially rises and then declines before the mining induced earthquake takes place
and the dimension of the system declines during the quake.This research demonstrates that the nonlinear dynamic features of the Eavg time series exist which can find potential application in mineing earthquke quake prediction.
