Many silt liquefaction tests were carried out by a dynamic triaxial apparatus to study the influence of dry density
effective cell pressure
silt and clay particle content of silt sample on silt liquefaction.It is concluded that the dynamic strength increase with the increasing of dry density and the effective of cell pressure has little influence on the ratio of dynamic strength.The fines content including clay particle and silt particle have great influence on dynamic strength.The influence of clay particle content does vary monotonically with the increasing of clay content
reaching the minimal value when the clay particle content is 8%.The influence of silt particle content on dynamic strength is a monotonically linear.With the increasing of silt particle content the dynamic strength increases.The cause of the influence of clay particle and silt particle content should be explained from the point of view of the structure of silt itself.
