This article studied abnormaly of both earthquake intensity attenuation and hazard degree along two sides of isoseismal line in Haiyuan. Those special phenomena were controlled by loesss micro terrain landforms

microstructure

thickness of loess stratum

structure and project geology property. All of above factors result in sharpening and enlarging earthquake waves

which made the loess lose its strength in an instant and caused more damage than other area.
