As the spatial data for earthquake disaster prediction has a characteristic of a great many maps
broad covering and quadratic data production
questions of the data updating have not been completely solved. In this paper
it is indicated that the ways of closed management of spatial data in our country leads to much disagreement of the data in type and format
coordinate system and scale. The spatial data for earthquake disaster prediction is unable to be updated because there is no common data management platform
no shared city electronic map
and no accord criterion of city electronic map. Spatial data is disjointed with basic attribute data; there is no analyzing modularization for earthquake disaster prediction to be built-in the information system for preventing and mitigating earthquake disasters and no good ways of managing the system
etc.. Updating tactics of spatial data for earthquake disaster prediction are proposed as follows: to establish centralized spatial data management platform
to establish shared city information
to update result data for earthquake disaster prediction
to establish comparable data-coding table
to establish system of perfect management and data updating
etc.. The function of establishing centralized spatial data management platform is introduced in detail.
