Based on the unified limit resistance distribution mode
the ultimate resistance of a single pile under different slope angles was calculated by using the minimum potential energy principle. The elastoplastic solution for the horizontal bearing capacity of a single pile in the slope was obtained by compiled MATLAB program. In order to verify the calculated horizontal bearing capacity and pile bending moment of single pile in the slope
a model test was carried out. The results show that the horizontal bearing capacity of a single pile decreases with the increase of the slope angle. The horizontal displacement of the pile in a 45° slope is 1.45 times that in a 15° slope. The variation of slope angle has a great influence on the horizontal bearing characteristics of the single pile.
