The distribution of strong motion stations in Liyang

Jiangsu Province was first introduced in this paper.The strong motion records collected by these stations in recent years were primarily analyzed.The site characteristics of 3 of the stations were discussed using the horizontal vertical spectrum ratio（HVSR）method.A primary classification was carried out on the station sites by using predominant period method.The borehole data

calculated predominant period and field classification of typical stations were compared and analyzed.Results show that the predominant period and spectral model of the HVSR curve based on strong motion records can better reflect the field characteristics of stations.The HVSR method can highlight the seismic response characteristics of different sites.
