Foundation security stability is an urgent problem in engineering practice. Therefore
the study of sand and soil layers’ micro-macro mechanical characteristic at different stress conditions which would affect foundation security shows a great importance. In this paper
bender element technique would be used to monitor the evolution of soil’s shear wave velocity and compressional wave velocity under one-dimensional compression condition. And the feasibility of bender element technique at different soil condition would be researched by making a comparison of bender element signal between sand and soil. The results showed that bender element technique could greatly monitor the process of particle crushing under high one-dimensional compression
mechanical behavior of rubber-sand mixture and soil’s strength change during consolidation process. And the optimal parameters about bender element at different soils have been determined.
