dredged slurries in the containment area are divided into supernatant layer
turbid layer and alluvium layer.A dynamic sedimentation model of dredged slurries is proposed
considering dynamic equilibriums of water mass and solid mass of the dredged slurry during hydraulic fill. The model can predict the variation on each layer surface versus time
moreover
it can determine the height of reclamation dam
the area of sedimentation zone and the initial storage capacity
the influence on which
caused by initial solid concentration of dredged slurry
filling rate and settling velocity of turbid layer surface
is analyzed by a case. The results show that settling velocity and filling rate have a great effect on the area of sedimentation zone
however
the influence of initial solid concentration is a little. The height of reclamation dam is not related to filling rate but affected greatly by settling velocity and initial solid concentration.Filling rate has a significant influence on the initial storage capacity
and the influence of settling velocity is the second
while the initial solid concentration has the least influence.
