Because of the uneven distribution of vertical stiffness
there exists an obvious weak layer in transfer structure with beam bearing column
which leads to easier failure under the action of earthquake.Being acquainted with the seismic performance of transfer structure with beam bearing column accurately is the basis of reasonable seismic design of it.Taking multi-story reinforced concrete frame with transfer structure as research background
three finite element models of beam bearing column transfer structure with sections of column in different sizes are established respectively
and then the elastic-plastic analysis of these models are carried out through the pushover method. After analysing and comparing the response of the displacement and the distribution of plastic hinges in the transfer structure
which has different sizes of column sections in small earthquake and large earthquake. This paper evaluates the seismic performance of transfer structure and offers some beneficial design suggestions. The results show that under small earthquake
dimensional change of column section has little effect on the displacement response of substructure of transfer structure
and story drift angle of superstructure of transfer structure has mutations
and the story drift angle decreases with the increasing of column section meanwhile;under larger earthquake
dimensional change of column section has significant influence on story drift angle of transfer structure with beam bearing column. In addition
″strong beam and weak column″appears easily in transfer story and bottom frame.
