Overturning resistant method of the high-level isolation structure is introduced and the corresponding tension processing method concerning the isolation structure in the high seismic regions is put forward. The implementation of the presented method is achieved in the software ETABS. Dynamic timehistory analyses on models of non-isolated and isolated high-level structures in the high seismic regions are carried out based on practical engineering. It is indicated that the tension processing method is feasible for the fundamental period of these different isolated models behaves similarly in the test. Moreover
in high seismic regions
it’s recommended to use composited element in the software ETABS because it’s unreasonable to use the common element directly when the isolated bearings are tensioned. Tensile device can show good tension resistance in avoiding the tension in isolation bearings.
